In 1969, Lynne Koplof, a woman of unparalleled dedication, had the vision to make a supportive and understanding place where children and teens could realize their individual strengths and passions. With a small team of focused and skilled teachers, Nonesuch has now been providing a first class education to Sonoma County youths for over 30 years. During their time at Nonesuch, students complete their academic course work while learning about the importance of critical thinking, community service, and political and environmental activism. Participating in everything from the New Orleans rebuilding projects to the Graton creek restoration, Nonesuch has been hard at work in the mission of empowering students to become powerful and responsible citizens. With generous scholarships for families in need, Nonesuch has always believed in making its programs accessible to all. However, during these times of universal economic hardship, Nonesuch's operating budget has become painfully contracted. That is why we need your support to keep this voice of alternative education alive.

Support this peaceful revolution in education and have fun shaking some booty to three vibrant local bands. Enjoy delicious food and wine and don't forget to check out the exciting silent auction.

About Us

Nonesuch school is a small, private non-profit located in the hills of Western Sonoma County. Since its inception in 1969 Nonesuch has provided a stimulating and caring environment for students and families seeking an education that encourages intellectual growth and creativity. With small, seminar-style classes, students are encouraged to think, to question, and to become involved in their own education. Through field trips and extracurricular activities, staff and students grow into a strong community.

Much is demanded of a Nonesuch student. In addition to the full curriculum, each student is required to become involved in community service and participate in cultural events. Students are not only expected to participate in student government, they participate in the actual maintenance of the campus. From pushing broms to swinging hammers, our students learn to take care of the campus, themselves, and each other. Nonesuch school is a community of individuals where the students appreciate each other's strengths and differences. Nonesuch has proven over its thirty years of educating young people that the individual student is the source of the learning.
